Figurative Language Matching Cards
This file contains a Figurative Language matching activity.
All teachers need to do is print on a different colored Oaktag for the way you are going to use it...small group activity, buddy activity, or as a learning center. Once printed, cut and put in a baggie.
This matching activity includes the TYPE of Figurative Language (Alliteration, Assonance, Consonance, Hyperbole, Imagery, Metaphor, Metonymy, Onomatopoeia, Personification, Simile, and Symbol), the DEFINITION, and an EXAMPLE.
If students put the TYPE of Figurative Language in alphabetical order, then the teachers will easily be able to check and help as they walk around the room.
HAPPY TEACHING!!!
